DIANA QUILARQUE’S BIO

Energetic, passionate, fun-loving person, creative, thoughtful, always willing to listen and help, project and team manager, and very versatile.

This is Diana Quilarque, a psychologist by profession and artist at heart. Mom of two young adults, Juan Andrés and Juan Diego, 23 and 21 years old respectively, who both have been her greatest source of life learning. From them, she has learned to accept that everyone is unique and has their own path in life; to respect that children can think differently than their parents, and that is ok, and to understand how being vulnerable is the path to change and growth.

Diana is Venezuelan. She was born in Caracas in 1966. Daughter of Raimundo and Maritza. She grew up with her 3 siblings – Oscar, Diamari and Ana Valentina - and her maternal grandmother, Mamá Flor, who took care of them daily while their parents worked. Always surrounded by a lot of affection, with a large family, many cousins of her age, friends and teachers, with whom she discovered and navigated every stage of her life.

Diana studied Psychology at the Andrés Bello Catholic University. In the first years of her career, she worked as a School Psychologist and then, she dedicated the rest of her career to training people in key professional and personal competencies, skills and abilities, to be able to not only execute their work successfully but as well as to work in a team, improve their communication, manage change in life, improve processes, etc. Founder of her own training consultancy firm, with whom she provided training services to a wide range of organizations, such as Universities, Schools, Banks, Insurance companies, the Supply chain and the entertainment industry.

She married Juan Manuel, also from Caracas, and after having her two boys, they decided to migrate to Canada in search of a better quality of life for their family. In 2021, after 33 years of working in the corporate world, she decided to retire and reinvent herself to move through a new chapter in the book of her life.

Today, Diana devotes part of her time to painting in oil and watercolor; In parallel, she decided to continue following her passion for training, but this time, to focus on adolescents, to help them empower themselves early on in life to become leaders of their path and of the world of tomorrow. Also, she is starting an online store of antitheft backpacks to travel and move in any city feeling safe and protected.
